It can't be easy to create a game based on a popular TV show, particularly one as complex as CSI. Do you make it a third-person crime-solving adventure or settle for a static point-and-click slideshow? With CSI: 3 Dimensions of Murder, Telltale games improves on the formula just a bit by turning the slideshow into a series of 3D environments. In each place you're stuck in a single position, but you can look side to side, up and down in a true 3D-rendered scene, and zoom in to examine and collect evidence. Of course, your options at the crime scenes and with perps are limited - you must choose from the available actions for that episode. But the game still does manage to give a sense of discovery and a keen what-happens-next feeling.. CSI: 3 Dimensions of Murder is targeted at casual gamers - specifically CSI fans - who will find much to like here.
