And Yet It Moves is a weird little platformer that won a 2007 IGF award for its student developers, the igw at Vienna University of Technology. You guide a flat, paper cut-out man through a 2D environment built of paper cut-out rocks and vegetation. Sounds simple, but the trick is that in order to make any progress you must rotate the environment and use gravity to maneuver past ledges, boulders and other obstacles. It's reminiscent, in a 2D sort of way, of Narbacular Drop, another IGF winner that used gravity as a strategical element. This is interesting game design and unique gameplay that definitely deserves a look.
