Act of War: High Treason carries on the pick-up-and-play tradition of its graphically-rich predecessor, Act of War: Direct Action. Keeping resource management to a minimum while focusing on unit building and combat, Act of War: High Treason brings a number of new elements to the table - notably, naval combat. A new faction - mercenaries - are more units for hire than an actual faction. It's visceral, real-time strategy - gameplay is fast and bombastic, just about everything you'd want in a RTS title. Possibly even worth the hardware upgrade needed to play it.
